Fake Window - Realistic View
Over 5 Saturdays I’ll guide you through everything you need to know to create your own Trompe L’oeil Window with a view or whatever other painting you’d like. You’ll learn real techniques and fundamentals that are guaranteed to uplevel your painting skills while learning techniques to help you achieve more trick the eye photo-realism in your work.
There are only 5 slots available for this hands on workshop.
Saturdays, 10am – 4pm (Lunch, Coffee/tea/water, snacks, and all necessary materials will be provided.)
Session 1 - September 12th — Foundations: surface prep, composition, value mapping
Session 2 - September 19 — Building form: blocking in, light logic, shadow structure
Session 3 - September 26 — Depth and color: glazing, atmospheric perspective, edge control
Session 4 - October 3 — Detail and believability: texture, reflection, hyperrealism
Session 5 - October 10— Finish and refine: final details, varnishing, framing/mounting
Session 6 - October 24 *Bonus Session* — Need more time? we have a whole extra day just in case. A.t the end of the day we’ll hang our work for the November Show. (Pieces can be picked up at the end of November)
Group show opening reception on the First Friday in November , November 6th, 6-9pm—Come get your accolades for a job well done!
